The Eastern Touch Football League is built and operated upon a strong foundation of fairness and respect which helps to maintain a fun and enjoyable environment for all of our Members and affiliates. As such, we do our best to enforce League Policies to help ensure that we are able to maintain this environment as well and consistent as possible. The following Policies are to be observed and followed by all Members, Persons and League Officials while on the field of play or sideline during an ETFL session. Thank you for taking the time to read and understand our League Policies.

SECTION 1 – PERSONAL CONDUCT
1.1 CONDUCT TOWARDS LEAGUE OFFICIALS
1.1.1 The term ‘League Official’ refers to any person to have been granted authority, whether being an Executive, Referee, or Team Rep, who, acts to enforce league the Rules and Policies of the ETFL on and/or off the field.
1.1.2 Warnings, Ejections, Suspensions and/or Expulsion from the league may result, at the discretion of ETFL Executive, for any Members who;
1.2 CONDUCT TOWARDS OTHER MEMBERS
1.2.1 The term ‘Member’ refers to any person who is currently, either enrolled in membership by way of participation and having paid all current league fees, or, associated through sponsorship, volunteering, or other relationship, and who is in good standing with the League Executive. This includes League Officials, Players, or other Persons having been given a role in the Eastern Touch Football League.
1.2.2 Warnings, Ejections, Suspensions and/or Expulsion from the league may result, at the discretion of ETFL Executive, for any Members who;
1.3.1 Harassment, whether verbal, sexual, or other, will not be tolerated, and shall be reported, by anyone in witness, to the authorities having jurisdiction.
1.4 SUBSTANCE ABUSE
1.4.1 Any Member, whether on the field or within the boundary, who is perceived by a League Official, to be under the influence, or have been abusing, alcohol and/or any other substance, will be asked to immediately vacate the premises, or field boundaries as described in the permit issued.
SECTION 2 – FIELD CONDUCT
2.1 GARBAGE CLEAN-UP
2.1.1 Each Member is individually responsible to dispose of his/her own garbage/debris. This includes all garbage, cans, plastics, wrappers, other debris brought to the field.
2.1.2 Avoid using Public Facility garbage or Recycle bins and use bags/cans provided by the ETFL.
2.1.3 DO NOT BRING GLASS BOTTLES OR CONTAINERS; Glass can break causing an injury hazard for all people who use the field, please leave it at home.
2.2.1 Smoking is not permitted on, or within 20 meters of the field boundaries as described by the permit issued.
2.2.2 Cigarette butts are considered garbage, and in some cases can be hazardous waste. Please dispose of them as described in Section 1.
NOTE: If you must smoke, please find an acceptable place to do so outside of the field limits as noted above, and let it not be said that our members litter their cigarette butts on or around the field.
2.3 ALCOHOL & DRUGS
2.3.1 There is to be NO ALCOHOL or DRUGS permitted on or within the field boundaries at any time, as described by the permit issued.
2.3.2 Any coolers, or containers, containing alcohol, may not be stored within the field boundaries, as described by the permit issued.
2.3.3 Drugs of any nature, unless accompanied by valid Medical and/or Government issued permissions, or are of the over-the-counter variety, will not be permitted on or within the field boundaries, as described by the permit issued.

SECTION 3 – GENERAL MEMBERSHIP PRIVILEGES REQUIREMENTS
3.1 BEING IN GOOD STANDING
3.1.1 In order to maintain good standing in the Eastern Touch Football League, all Members must;
3.1.3 The Eastern Touch Football League reserves the right to revoke, or refuse Membership, at any time, to any person who has, or who is suspected to be, in violation of any current League Conduct Policies.
3.2 LEAGUE FEES
3.2.1 League Fees are individually set for each new Session (Spring & Fall) and must be paid in full before participating in League Play.
3.2.2 Upon request, and at the discretion of the Executive, a Member may be granted special payment conditions, provided this is communicated in a reasonable manner.
3.2.3 Members who have not paid in full are not eligible to participate in Playoff Games.
3.2.4 ETFL Coupons must be presented and validated by a League Official before they can be used to pay fees.
3.2.5 Money can be transferred via Email to firstname.lastname@example.org, or collected by a League Official.
3.3 ON-FIELD PARTICIPATION
3.3.1 Only a Member in Good Standing is eligible for participation in League Play, Playoffs, or other Sanctioned Event.
3.3.2 Participating Members must also attend a minimum of 3 regular season games in order to qualify for that Sessions Playoffs.
3.3.3 Before any Member can participate in a new Session, the corresponding Waiver must be filled out and signed off.
3.4.1 All Members are encouraged to communicate their commitment status to the league in any way possible in order to maintain their consideration and eligibility for future events and/or session.
3.4.2 The Eastern Touch Football League is committed to ensuring that each member is updated on the status of Events and Sessions. Please do not ignore communications if you wish to stay in Good Standing with the ETFL.
3.4.3 Members who ignore, or refuse to acknowledge communications from the Eastern Touch Football League forfeit all Member Privileges.
SECTION 4 – DISCPILINE
4.1.1 Any Member(s) who violates League Policies as outlined in this document will be considered to be in ‘Breach of Conduct’, and are subject to disciplinary action(s) as stated throughout SECTION 4 – DISCIPLINE.
4.1.1 WARNING; Issued by a League Official for Violations of Sections 1 and 2. These can be either verbal or written. Two (2) or more warnings can result in Suspension of Membership.
4.1.2 SUSPENSION; May be issued anytime at the discretion of the League Executive for Policy Violations of Section 1 and 2, or as a result of multiple issued Warnings. The length of Suspension will be decided by ETFL Executive. The Member in violation will have their Online Account suspended, and be issued a notification via email. Members who are under Suspension are not permitted to attend, or participate in, any Games, Playoffs or League events while under Suspension.
4.1.3 EXPULSION; May be issued anytime at the discretion of the League Executive for Policy Violations of Section 1 and 2, or as a result of multiple issued Warnings and/or Suspensions. The Member in violation will have their Online Account deleted, and be issued a notification via email. Members who are expelled are not permitted to attend, or participate in, any Games, Playoffs or League events, until otherwise decided by the Executive.
4.1.4 All disciplinary actions taken toward a Member must be reported by a League Official to Administration, and be kept on record.
4.2 CONDUCT MEETING
4.2.1 In the event that a disciplinary action may take place, the ETFL Executive may request a meeting with the Member(s) involved to discuss the alleged Breach of Conduct in person.
4.2.1 A Member(s) who willingly ignore meeting requests, or are not willing to cooperate within a timely manner, therein shall be subject to any disciplinary decisions made in their absence.
4.3 NOTICE(S) GIVEN
4.3.1 A request for a Conduct Meeting will be issued by phone, text or email from an Executive Member or Administrator. The time and location of the meeting will be included in this message.
4.3.2 Verbal or written notices will be given for each warning issued to a Member (4.1.1).
